Visa Application Process and Guidelines

Visa applications can be submitted either by post or in person at the Embassy from Monday to Friday, between 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM. The processing time is ten (10) working days from the date the application is received.

All visa applicants must ensure that their applications meet the requirements for the visa category they are applying for. All relevant supporting documents must be attached before submitting their application to the Embassy for processing.
Applications missing any required documents may be cancelled if the missing documents are not provided within three (3) weeks after notification.

Once a visa application has been approved, collection by self or courier services is on Thursday or Friday between 11 am and 2 pm.

GUIDELINES:

  1. Complete and print the visa application form online, and obtain the Application ID and Reference Number.
  2. Proceed to making payment. Print a copy of the acknowledgement and payment slip.
  3. Print a copy of the administrative fee made to the Embassy’s account for the visa service(s) requested.
  4. Take your visa payment receipts, passport, and other required documents to the Embassy or send by post.

 

Visa Delivery Service

  1. DHL or UPS is the only authorized courier for visa and passport processing. Applicants must provide a DHL or UPS -UPS-registered, prepaid, trackable, self-addressed return envelope valid for shipping from the Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden, to their designated return destination.

Business Visa Requirements

  1. Copy of completed visa application form. Attach two (2) recent passport photographs (35x40mm).

  2. Copy of visa payment  slip

  3. Copy of administrative payment  made to Embassy’s account

  4. Passport valid for at least 6 months with at least 4 blank visa pages for endorsement

  5. Letter of introduction from the applicant’s employer

  6. Letter of invitation from company or organization inviting.

  7. Certificate of Incorporation of inviting company.

  8. A copy of the signatory’s (to invitation letter) passport data page or resident permit, valid for at least six months, is required.

  9. Note verbale from  foreign ministry/organization or embassy or consulate (where applicable)

  10. Copy of confirmed flight return ticket.

  11. Yellow fever vaccination certificate

  12. An Enclosed Self-Addressed Envelope, Registered And Trackable, That Can Be Posted From Sweden To Your Desired Destination.

NOTICE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC ON EMBASSY’S OFFICIAL EMAIL, PAYMENT/NON-REFUNDABLE POLICY AND APPLICATION PROCEDURES

1. Official Email Address for Correspondence

2. Prohibition of Cash Payments
The Embassy does not accept cash payments for any services.
All transactions must be processed through the official approved payment channels, as outlined on the Embassy's website.

NON-REFUNDABLE POLICY

All fees paid for administrative services are non-refundable and non-transferable. This policy applies to all payments and transfers made into designated Embassy accounts.
Applicants bear full responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of payment details, including the correct service category, applicable fee, and designated account, before making payment.
Requests for refunds arising from errors, excess payments, or payments made into an incorrect account will not be considered. Payment of any administrative fee constitutes full acceptance of this policy. Applicants who are uncertain about any aspect of the payment process are advised to seek clarification before proceeding.


3. Submission of Applications
Applicants are advised to submit their applications using self-addressed envelopes with pre-paid postage (UPS or DHL). This will ensure that your documents are returned to you safely.

Please note: The Embassy has not authorised any individual or company to assist applicants with payments or processing applications. Any applicant who chooses to engage the services of a visa or passport processing agent does so at their own risk.
